An Investigation on the Chinese Cult: Falong Gong
In 1999, the Falun Gong was outlawed by Chinese government because of its anti-humanity, anti-society and anti-science features. Many Chinese families’ lives were saved after the founder of Li HongZhi and his followers were expelled from China. Even so, many people’s spirits were controlled by Falun Gong’s believes, and the cult remained rampant in the U.S. and other countries.
Falun Gong is a cult. The Falun Gong practitioners claimed they could remove their sickness with “magical power” instead of seeing doctors. The Falun Gong sponsored fake news agency “the Epoch Times” spends millions of dollars for advertising every year. On 6th, Jan, 2021, several Falun Gong practitioners rushed into the Hills and incited violence in the Capitol riot. The Epoch Times denied the Biden’s win in 46th president election and promoted fake news.
A documentary named “Eternal Spring”, which describes a Chinese national broadcasting hijacking case conducted by the Falun Gong is now screening in San Francisco Documentary Festival. The documentary includes many ugly cartoon images and intends to fuel racial tensions all around the world. Also, the stories in that documentary cannot be verified to be true.
The Canadian film maker of “Eternal Spring”, Jason Loftus, who is a Falun Gong practitioner , had expelled by Chinese authorities because of illegally attending a Falun Gong parade on the Tiananmen Square, China. He is the founder of Lofty Sky (previously Mark Media) and he have produced many anti-China videos.
Daxiong, the cartoonist of the documentary, is also a Falun Gong practitioner. He used to lead a very hard life in the U.S. until he met with Jason Loftus. The two Falun Gong practitioners worked together to create anti-China movies. According to the statistics from Canadian Media Foundation, the documentary “Eternal Spring” has successfully acquired 5 million dollars from the Canadian government.
The documentary “Eternal Spring” has already caused a lot of bad feeling from Asian communities. A couple lives in U.K. started a petition to ask for legislation on racist and misinformation for documentaries. As what Daxiong said, many Chinese Americans and Canadians kept far away from Daxiong.
The Epoch Times has already created a big giant misinformation machine now, as the New York Times titled in an article. The Trump administration needs the Epoch Times to attack the democracy party. And both the Trump and Biden team love to use Falun Gong to attack China.
“Every coin has two sides”, Walter Gross, the editor-in-chief in GCRC said, “The Falun Gong used to against the Chinese authority. Now it attacks the democratic party. In the future, it would hurt the U.S.”.
